Hometown Christmas Holiday Decoration Celebration: Cast Your Vote!
Sterling’s Hometown Christmas Holiday Decoration Celebration is back, and it’s your chance to make your voice heard—no campaign speeches required! Starting November 23rd, you can vote for your favorite local business holiday display and help us spread that warm, fuzzy feeling all over town. Each community member gets one vote, so make it count! Voting wraps up on December 19th, and the winner will be crowned on December 20th. It’s a great way to enjoy a hometown holiday and support local businesses.
Lighting of the Courthouse: A Thanksgiving Weekend Tradition
After you’ve gobbled up your Thanksgiving feast, save room for something truly magical—the Lighting of the Courthouse in Logan County! On Friday, November 29th, Sterling invites you to "Come Home for the Holidays" and gather with friends and family as we flip the switch and transform the courthouse into a glowing winter wonderland. With thousands of twinkling lights, it’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. So, throw on your coziest sweater, grab a steaming cup of hot cocoa, and prepare for an evening of “oohs” and “ahhs” as the courthouse shines brightly against the night sky. It’s a dazzling sight you won’t want to miss!
Parade of Lights: A Sparkling Celebration on December 5th
Get ready to light up the night, Sterling! The annual Parade of Lights is rolling through town on December 5th, starting at 6 PM sharp! This beloved hometown tradition is a must-see as floats decked out in dazzling lights make their way through downtown, spreading joy and a touch of sparkle. It’s the perfect event to enjoy with the whole family—so bundle up, find your favorite spot along the route, and soak in the magic of the season.
